Leadership
Can leaders explain where AI should create value and who owns the work?
Identify is building an independent benchmark of how established Australian businesses are preparing for AI across leadership, workflows, systems and data, governance, capability and deployment.
AI adoption statistics often mix experimentation, licences, pilots and production into one number. Identify's benchmark is intentionally narrower: it asks whether the organisation has the conditions to turn AI into an operating capability that can be deployed, governed, adopted and measured.
We will not publish a national ranking from a tiny sample. The first national release requires at least 100 qualifying Australian responses. Sector findings require at least 30 qualifying responses in that sector.
TAKE THE FIVE-MINUTE BENCHMARKCan leaders explain where AI should create value and who owns the work?
Does the business know which workflows create the most friction and economic opportunity?
Are the systems, data and knowledge needed for priority workflows understood and usable?
Are data boundaries, accountability, vendor choices and risk controls practical and clear?
Do teams and managers know how to redesign work around AI rather than just prompt tools?
Is meaningful AI in production, measured, adopted and reusable across the organisation?
Each report will show its sample size, fieldwork period, inclusion rules and methodology. Sector cuts below the minimum threshold will not be presented as representative findings.
First publication after a minimum 100 qualifying Australian responses.
Published only after at least 30 qualifying sector responses.
Published only after at least 30 qualifying sector responses.
Published only after at least 30 qualifying sector responses.
Published only when the relevant sample is large enough to be useful.
A benchmark score does not require a name, company or email. Optional contact details are collected separately when a participant requests a tailored action plan.
Responses include industry, employee range and Australian state or territory so the dataset can support meaningful aggregate comparisons.
Known tests, obvious duplicates and anomalous submissions will be excluded from published research. The final usable sample will be disclosed.
Identify will not publish sector league tables or tiny-sample claims simply because the data is available. Insufficient samples will be labelled as such.
The benchmark takes about five minutes. You receive your score immediately. Your anonymous assessment contributes to the aggregate research programme.
Practical AI workflows, implementation lessons, Australian market signals, governance notes and upcoming Identify events for leadership teams.
An Identify research programme designed to measure how prepared established Australian businesses are to move from AI interest and experimentation into production, adoption and measurable operating value.
The assessment can be completed without providing a name, email or company. The anonymous response stores broad business context such as industry, employee range and state so aggregate analysis can become more useful over time.
Identify will not publish national benchmark findings until the dataset reaches at least 100 qualifying Australian responses. Sector findings require at least 30 qualifying responses in that sector.
Before publication, Identify will remove known test traffic and obvious duplicate or anomalous submissions, publish the final sample size, disclose the methodology and avoid reporting sector cuts with insufficient samples.
No individual company results will be published as part of aggregate benchmark reporting without explicit permission.
